Most of my work is asphalt shingle roofs on houses and garages in and around Evansville. I will tell you when a job is not mine.
A full tear-off and new roof. Architectural asphalt shingles are the usual choice here.
Finding where water gets in, and fixing that spot before anyone talks about a new roof.

Inspection, photos and an itemized written estimate, whether or not you file a claim.
Done with a roof or on their own. Gutters are a small part of what I do.
Quoted after a visit. If another firm is a better fit, I will say so.
How long each roof lasts
Typical ranges. Your roof's real life depends on ventilation, sun, trees and how it was put on.
Architectural asphalt shingles
About 25 to 30 years.
3-tab asphalt shingles
About 15 to 20 years.
Metal panels
About 40 to 70 years.
Flat membranes
About 20 to 30 years.
